Chapter 51: A Worthy Opponent!
Li Yueyao thought for a few seconds, then lifted her foot and sat down on the sofa behind Situyie, remaining silent.
“Zhang Huang, handle it as you see fit. I never said I’d protect this filthy loser,” Situyie finally gave a satisfied smile. His face darkened as he looked at Ye Fei and spoke.
Zhang Huang’s expression was grim, all his anger redirected at Ye Fei. With a flick of his wrist, the security guards surged forward.
Ye Fei summoned the spiritual energy within him, completely unleashing his abilities. Earlier, with Zhou Danzhuang at his side, he hadn’t wanted to go all out—he’d only used a few techniques learned from his master. But now, facing more than twenty burly men, he channeled his energy throughout his body. Underneath his clothing, his muscles swelled noticeably.
Spiritual energy tempered his body, flesh and blood as tough as stone.
In an instant, he moved—darting into the crowd, targeting each guard’s weakest point. Like a slick, venomous snake, he slipped through their midst, executing his moves with exhilarating ferocity.
Smack!
Smack!
...
With the repeated sounds of bodies colliding, all the security guards fell to the ground, wailing.
Even a gang of street thugs couldn’t handle a properly trained martial artist, let alone Ye Fei, who was no ordinary fighter—his spiritual energy gave him a distinct edge. These guards cobbled together from local toughs stood no chance against him. This had already been proven.
He turned to Zhang Huang, who stood speechless and panic-stricken, beckoning him over. “You, come here.”
Zhang Huang snapped out of his stupor, trembling as he slowly stepped forward. Even a fool could see now that the man Li Yueyao had brought was no ordinary person.
“Earlier, you said you’d break my arms and legs, right?” Ye Fei asked with a smile.
“I... I was only joking...” Zhang Huang answered, terrified.
“In the past, I might not have bothered with you,” Ye Fei’s voice was cold. “But unfortunately for you, I’m now the kind who always pays back every slight.”
Crack! Crack!
Two crisp sounds echoed.
Ye Fei mercilessly broke the left arm and left leg of the illegitimate son of Hangzhou’s richest man.
The pain was so intense that Zhang Huang passed out before he could even cry out.
The whole room fell silent.
Even the noisy music faded away. The young starlet singing watched in stunned amazement, her face full of shock.
One man had taken down more than twenty guards?
He’d broken the limbs of the richest man’s son?
Who was this person?
Situyie glanced at the bodyguard standing quietly in the corner, saw that he was calmly lost in thought and paying no mind to the scene. Only then did Situyie relax, his eyes showing disdain as he casually poured himself a drink.
Li Yueyao hurried over, reaching out to feel Ye Fei’s upper body.
“What are you doing?” Ye Fei asked, slightly out of breath.
“Just checking to see if you’re hurt!” Li Yueyao said, full of concern. “If something happened to you, I couldn’t afford the consequences!”
“I’m fine, don’t worry.” Ye Fei gently pushed her away and whispered, “You should leave now, take a cab home. What’s about to happen isn’t for children’s eyes.”
“What are you planning? Going to beat up Situyie as well?” Li Yueyao said with an air of maturity. “Ye Fei, listen to me—tonight you’ve already made a big impression, but you’ve made enemies of Zhang Huang and Liu Qiming. Their fathers are the kind who shake things up in the city. If you provoke Situyie too, you’ll have offended every rich kid in this room. Is it really worth it?”
“Worth it or not, it doesn’t matter. Anyone who dares touch Ye Fei’s friends must apologize, even if it’s the king of heaven himself.” Ye Fei sneered, his face darkening with a fierce look.
“You...” Li Yueyao’s face flushed with anger. “Why are you so stubborn? Do you know why these rich kids all respect Situyie? It’s because his father has a relative who’s an official in the province. You’re all alone—”
“Are you teaching me how to act?” Ye Fei looked at her, half-smiling.
“I’m just trying to help you! Will you listen?” Li Yueyao stamped her foot.
She really didn’t want Ye Fei to die here.
If that happened, she’d bear much of the responsibility.
When the police came knocking, how would she explain it all?
Ye Fei gave no answer, instead turning his gaze to Situyie, rolling his shoulders.
Li Yueyao angrily stamped her foot again, but did not leave.
“Little brother, you’re quite a fighter. I like people who can fight. Come, have a drink with me?” Situyie raised his glass, smiling in invitation.
Ye Fei only snorted coldly, walked straight to Situyie, and crushed the wine glass in his hand.
Crack—
In that instant, an elderly man in a black Zhongshan suit, leaning on a cane, stepped between Ye Fei and Situyie.
“Young man, what’s the meaning of this?” he rasped.
“Nothing much. Just a few scores to settle,” Ye Fei said bluntly. “Last night, you crippled my brother.”
“So you’re here for revenge for the head of the security company?” the old man chuckled. “I remember him.”
“Revenge isn’t the word. Just bring two or three million in cash, and personally visit my brother’s hospital room to apologize. Then we’ll call it even. How about it?” Ye Fei replied.
The old man was stunned, then grinned, revealing a missing front tooth, and let out a strange, cackling laugh.
“Just a punk like you, and you expect Old Wang to come apologize?”
A discordant voice rang out.
Situyie stepped up, looming over Ye Fei.
“And who do you think you are?”
Ye Fei smiled back at him. “So you’re refusing to give me this courtesy?”
“You really think you’re tough?” Situyie mocked. “Take down a few dozen guards and you think you’re invincible?”
Ye Fei laughed. “Do you believe I could crush your cervical spine in one second?”
“Interesting, very interesting.” Situyie laughed heartily, turned and leaned against the sofa, then waved to the old man and said with exaggerated bravado, “Break his arms and legs, strip him, and throw him out. Otherwise, it’ll be hard to explain things to Zhang Chong, that old bastard.”
Zhang Chong, Hangzhou’s richest man.
“Yes.” Old Wang nodded slightly.
The next moment, his withered hand swung at Ye Fei from a cunning angle!
Ye Fei’s hair stood on end. Though the old man appeared feeble, his speed was on par with Ye Fei himself. Ye Fei had to twist aside, barely avoiding the attack.
Three clear claw marks appeared on his thin athletic jacket.
On the old man’s fingers were black nails nearly thirty centimeters long, gleaming with a chilling light, even coated in a layer of spiritual energy invisible to ordinary people.
“So you’re a martial artist!” Ye Fei widened the gap between them and laughed quietly. “Too bad, in front of me, you’re nothing but a washed-up old man.”
“Insolent brat! Needs discipline!” Old Wang’s smile turned sinister, his hunched back arching even further as he charged at Ye Fei.
