Chapter 101: The Day of Marriage to My Master

Hearing Wangchuan’s words, tears welled up in my eyes instinctively, spilling freely without any restraint or human strength, and with a smack, I collapsed into his embrace.
Crying uncontrollably once again!
This was the pain I had been suppressing deep within my heart!
It was my own carelessness. Even that doctor cat said it wasn’t easy for Wangchuan to give me a child!
During that time, his soul shaping was delayed, and the Underworld kept causing trouble; he must have been weakening for quite a while.
Yet, despite all that, he still gave me a baby.
A hard-earned baby, lost because of my own outburst!
I sobbed loudly. Even when Wangchuan teased me before, I only felt embarrassed and flushed, not this kind of heartache!
I had never experienced this before, but now I understood—losing a baby hurts unbearably.
Wangchuan was so excellent, and the baby in his belly was just as outstanding. If I hadn’t been so willful, maybe the baby would have been born healthy by now!
I cried for a long time. Wangchuan didn’t say a word until I looked up and met his gaze—his eyes fixed intently on me.
To be honest, I found it hard to get used to that deep, quiet look, like an owl piercing the night, giving me goosebumps all over.
“Why are you staring at me so hard?” I sniffled, displeased.
“To see why humans shed so many tears.”
“I’m human! I cry a lot! So what! Animals don’t cry like this! Hmph!”
I pouted, still wrapped up like a bug, but angrily squirming back and forth.
“No tears don’t mean no crying.”
Wangchuan’s voice sounded a little... strange.
I looked at him again—could it be that he was sad too?
Oh wow—this fierce beast who bleeds but never cries has moments of sorrow?
With a bit of disdain, I gave him a glare. Though it was pitch dark without the lights on, I figured if he could see me clearly, I could see him as well.
After a long silence, I finally exhaled and asked a question I had been avoiding.
“In the future… will we still have a relationship? Your conditions… are they really true?”
I knew well his nature—he never lied or deceived me—but still, I wanted to hear the truth.
Even if it meant giving up hope, that was fine!
After another long silence, I heard Wangchuan quietly reply:
“Yes, it’s true.”
A sudden thud, like a heavy stone dropping deep in my heart, sealing off the only ray of sunlight left.
I wanted to cry again, but this time I held it back.
Then Wangchuan looked at me and asked:
“Are you willing to have a relationship with me?”
“Huh?” I was stunned, my head spinning, not quite understanding.
“Go to sleep.”
Suddenly, Wangchuan pulled me into his arms. Then, next to me came the soft sound of gentle breathing.

This guy! Already asleep?!
So fast?!
Well, I shifted my body, found a more comfortable position, leaned against his arm, and dozed off too.
Wangchuan’s body was still a bit cool—I knew I had injured him badly this time.
But I didn’t mean to; if I get the chance, I will apologize to him.
Though it seemed I didn’t need to—Wangchuan said I could face the punishment when I returned.
Honestly, that made me feel a little better. After all, I hurt someone, the person I love most.
My conscience was uneasy. Being punished was fair.
Thinking of that made me a little scared—I didn’t know how he would punish me…
Tossing and turning, my mind raced with endless thoughts, my inner drama overwhelming. I couldn’t sleep.
He said he had nothing to do with me, didn’t touch me, so why did he kiss me? Why did he smile when he said “the kid”? How would he punish me? Would he throw me into the forest…?
Suddenly, I felt my bottom get a tap. Wangchuan was beside me, lazily humming:
“Still not asleep?”
I immediately held my breath, not daring to make a sound or move.
Until early the next morning, when the light grew warmer, I woke up to find the bed empty.
I stretched lazily. This time, he had truly left. After checking the surroundings several times, I got up.
The bindings on me had been undone. Without that sense of restraint, I felt much more refreshed!
But then I noticed—dozens of little cats stood under my bed, their tails raised, waiting!
“Qian Qian Qian Qian Bai Qian Qian Qian Qian, awake! Awake! Finally awake! At last awake!”
A chaotic bunch of cats jabbered on, and I only understood after a long while! Then they pulled me up and put me straight into the bathtub!
Several of the cats quickly transformed into human forms and began scrubbing me like a pig being washed, making three layers of foam, then hurriedly drying me, and finally placing a wreath around my neck!
A wreath?!
Oh no... a flower crown.
But why put a flower crown on me?! Was this to dress me up as the little angel of the United Nations?
In a flash, I was dressed in a delicate tulle dress, with a flower crown and a small crown on my head—this, this—felt like a wedding!
Though my outfit looked more like a bridesmaid’s than a bride’s.
“Who’s getting married?”
I caught one of the busy little cats and asked.
“You are!” she said, holding something.
“Me?” I pointed to my nose. “I’m getting married?! To whom?!”
“To the master! Everyone’s waiting for you. You’re the only one sleeping in. The master even told us to let you sleep enough. We’re so anxious! He also ordered a bath—clean and scentless! There’s so much to do, and you’re still sleeping. Don’t you think you’re too irresponsible...?”
As she scolded me, she suddenly darted off to attend to her tasks.
But I was still stunned.
Me? Getting married? To Wangchuan?

Damn it—what a thunderclap bomb! Might as well die!
When did he tell me we’re getting married?! Last night he said it had nothing to do with me!
Didn’t he also say he would punish me? What is this?!
But—then I quickly realized.
He said it had nothing to do with me—he was right.
Now, after we marry, we will have a relationship?!
At that moment, I was immensely grateful for my suddenly sharp mind!
Heartbeat, heartbeat, heartbeat—I had never experienced my heart racing so fast before.
The room was full of little cats bustling about like schools of fish in SpongeBob, while I stood there dumbfounded, grinning foolishly.
I couldn’t hold it in—how could happiness come so quickly?
That fierce beast was actually going to marry me!
Would I no longer be his pet then? Would I be on equal footing with him?
Oh—I very clearly rejected that thought in my mind.
Wangchuan was still Wangchuan. Even if I married him, it would be the same!
But! I was willing!
The little cats busied themselves, and I stood there smiling stupidly. Soon, I was taken to a very spacious place with a large lawn.
Many little cats stood there, along with many unfamiliar people.
A wedding! Western style! So handsome!
“Little white cat, little white cat!” Pei Mu ran over from afar, dressed in bright red. “Today is the day I marry my Chuan’er! Will you bless me?”
“Huh?” I frowned. “You… marrying Wangchuan?”
Also, whenever Pei Mu said ‘my Chuan’er,’ it had a bit of a local accent, sounding like ‘my dear Chuan.’
What kind of rhythm was this? I had become the bridesmaid for these two good friends?!
Everything was happening so fast I could barely accept it. Looking further ahead, Wangchuan still hadn’t appeared.
“Little white cat, listen to me sing.” Pei Mu crossed his arms and began to sing beautifully.
“My dear Chuan! My big dear Chuan! You’re so handsome—You are—” A comical, improvised tune.
Just as he sang, my expression changed slightly, and Pei Mu dodged quickly with a snap!
Wangchuan’s fist came down, and Pei Mu looked triumphant.
“Missed!” After jumping around, seeing Wangchuan’s face darken, Pei Mu suddenly became serious: “Ahem… Today is your big day with Wangchuan; I won’t cause trouble. I’m going to eat cake!”
With that, he slipped away, leaving only Wangchuan and me. I was still a bit stunned.
“Come here,” he called.
I foolishly moved closer, my mind blank, heart pounding, waiting for Wangchuan to speak.
Would he—propose to me?
