Chapter 42: You Must Not Take Liberties with Me
“Five hundred an hour, not a penny less!”
“Agreed.”
Finally, Shi Qingqing spoke seriously, “You… you must promise not to take liberties with me.”
If the nation’s campus heartthrob harbored any peculiar tastes, or was some kind of pervert… she’d rather go to jail than serve him!
“You’re dreaming. That line should be mine, shouldn’t it? Who was the one who forced a kiss on me?” Zhan Su leaned close to her ear and whispered.
Shi Qingqing blushed again…
Damn, last night she must’ve had a short circuit in her brain to give him artificial respiration.
It seemed she’d left a stain on her life, one she’d never wash away.
Zhan Su looked at her, her face flushed and unable to speak… was she actually a little cute?
He immediately thought he must be exhausted from today’s workload, just too tired.
With her ordinary looks, she had nothing to do with the word “cute.”
He unceremoniously tossed her into the elevator, as if she were a sandbag…
Then, he stepped in leisurely.
The elevator doors closed.
As the elevator ascended, Luo Hua and the other bodyguards were left stunned in place.
“Boss, punch me and see if I’m hallucinating. The young master actually got so close to a female creature?” Bodyguard One asked.
“Yes, boss, the young master’s constitution is so unusual, he won’t even keep female dogs. Is this girl really a girl? Or did she come back from Thailand?” Bodyguard Two wondered aloud.
“Don’t ask me, I’m seeing things too! Anyway, the young master told us to keep today’s events confidential, don’t let it reach the old master for now…” Luo Hua instructed sternly.
The bodyguards, all former soldiers under his command, skilled and tight-lipped, nodded in agreement.
Shi Qingqing gazed at the lavish furnishings before her, slightly overwhelmed.
A beautiful spiral staircase, a dazzling crystal chandelier, luxurious long-pile carpets, a giant television spanning half a wall, gleaming high-end decor, and the area upstairs and down—likely over a thousand square meters…
The view was expansive; looking out from the huge floor-to-ceiling windows, half the imperial city was spread before her—a prime location.
“Wow, Senior Zhan, you live alone in a place this big!”
There wasn’t a soul inside; at the entrance was a single pair of slippers, clearly indicating he lived alone.
Rich people, indeed!
The Golden Emperor International Hotel—he’d booked an entire floor, and it was the best one, too. What grandeur!
Zhan Su watched as Shi Qingqing exclaimed, practically drooling, and quickly turned away.
Such a random, nondescript girl—his turning point?
Heaven really had a twisted sense of humor.
Just looking at her felt like an assault on his eyes.
“Your tasks are cleaning, laundry, cooking…” Zhan Su gestured around him.
Shi Qingqing’s mouth formed an O.
“I don’t think I can manage all this in an hour. Are there other maids?”
“No. Just you. I hate women,” Zhan Su replied decisively.
Shi Qingqing rolled her eyes. Hate women? I’m a woman too, you know!
At that moment, Zhan Su whistled. A door on the second floor swung open, and a black dog, as big as a lion, strode out.
Its lofty gaze, like a king returning to his domain!
Shi Qingqing covered her mouth. Oh my god, is that… a Tibetan mastiff?
It was huge and imposing!
It almost matched her in height.
The Tibetan mastiff shifted its gaze from Zhan Su to her, baring its teeth in a fierce, menacing display—domineering and chilling.
