Regarding this book (Please proceed with caution if you have not read the first ten chapters)
(Warning: Beware of spoilers for the first ten chapters! There are two minor plot reveals.)
Are you hoping to witness a seventeen-year-old prodigy emerge and dominate the field, slaughtering all in his path? I’m afraid not. This is more about character development; otherwise, you might enjoy a fleeting thrill, but I would be left with nothing to write.
To put it simply, this story doesn’t begin with invincibility, nor is it devoid of suspense. Did you assume in the first chapter that the protagonist would definitely make it? Did you think Yang Chen would win, or at least draw? Did you expect the main character to storm onto the stage and instantly become unbeatable?
I love to surprise—and sometimes shock—my readers. If everything were as predictable as the score printed on the cover of a football replay, what joy would there be in reading?
Come on! This is football! The most thrilling and captivating aspect is its unpredictability.
Recently, I plan to slow down a little and save up some drafts, so updates will be posted promptly at noon and ten at night each day.
After all, I have a wife now, and must attend to certain private matters (no teasing allowed).
So, if you want to grow stronger alongside me and experience some surprises (and shocks), join me on this journey!
By the way, if there’s such a thing as an urging ticket, I would have no choice but to obey and frantically add more chapters. Fortunately, the highest demand for updates seems to be capped at twelve thousand words—dear Qidian still has a touch of humanity!
Also, I humbly ask for your support. Before the book is officially released, there’s no income whatsoever... (sighing face).
