"You think just because you ask to borrow it, I have to give it to you?" Sun Tiantian sneered coldly. "I ran all this way and finally got my hands on this, and you little thugs think you can just snatch it from me? In your dreams!"

"If you won’t accept kindness, then you’ll taste punishment," the leader in a black uniform signaled to the others at his side, his gaze cold and sinister. "Today, whether you want to or not, you’ll lend it to us. Not a single leaf is leaving Green Vine City!"

Sun Tiantian laughed with disdain, placed the jar of pickles she was holding onto the ground, straightened up, and pulled a lollipop from her pocket. She ripped open the wrapper, popped it in her mouth, and twisted her wrists a few times. "It’s been a while since I stretched my legs. Today, I’ll take you worthless fools as practice dummies..."

The black-uniformed men glanced at each other, tightening their encirclement, step by step closing in on Sun Tiantian.

She stood her ground, unruffled, until one of them raised his arm, swinging his fist at her. She stepped back with her left foot, tilted her body slightly to the right, narrowly dodging the punch, and seized the attacker's wrist with her right hand in a vice-like grip.

The man was instantly halted by an overwhelming force. No matter how hard he struggled, he couldn’t break free. Swallowing hard, he stared at Sun Tiantian in terror, as if facing some ancient beast.

Her hand sliced through the air like a blade, striking a specific point on the side of his neck with swift, graceful precision.

The man’s vision went dark; with a muffled groan, he collapsed. The remaining black-uniformed men froze in place, not daring to take another step forward.

Sun Tiantian pulled the lollipop from her mouth, licked the candy, and smiled wickedly. "Such weaklings, and yet you have the nerve to come out here and make a fool of yourselves? Even that coward Li Jun could last seventy, eighty, ninety moves against me..." She fished a scalpel from her pocket, spun it between her fingers, her eyes narrowing to crescents. "Relax, I’ll just let you bleed a little. I won't break your bones..."

One minute and fifty-two seconds later, every man in black lay sprawled on the ground—some clutching their arms, others doubled over—all of them pale-faced, staring at the lone figure still standing in the center. Black leather clung to Sun Tiantian’s curvaceous form, her features delicate and lively, as she clapped her hands with nonchalance.

"Bah," Sun Tiantian, glistening with sweat, took a deep breath and spat on the ground. "A bunch of useless idiots, trying to rob people? When I used to roam the world with Uncle Mountain-Mover, you lot were probably still playing in the mud!"

Suddenly, a round of applause rang out. A young man in sunglasses stepped from the shadows beneath the trees, hands clapping, followed by a dozen men in black uniforms. "Not bad at all. I didn’t expect to meet a real fighter here. Honestly, I didn’t care about this mission at all—only came because I couldn’t get out of it. But now, you’ve piqued my interest..."

Sun Tiantian rolled her eyes. "A pig with a scallion up its nose—don’t try to look like an elephant!"

The black uniforms behind the man in sunglasses moved in perfect sync, encircling Sun Tiantian in the center. Unlike the previous group, they didn’t attack hastily. Faces expressionless, hands at their sides, it seemed their only purpose was to prevent her escape.

Sun Tiantian frowned slightly, watching as the man in sunglasses approached step by step. After a moment’s thought, she knew she’d have to take him down to get out, so she struck first, thrusting her scalpel forward in a flash.

The man didn’t evade. He reached out, grabbed the blade, twisted it from her grasp, and slipped it into his own pocket. Licking the thin line of blood on his palm, he chuckled darkly. "I’ll keep this as a souvenir..."

Sun Tiantian’s eyelids twitched. She quickly chopped at his neck with the edge of her hand, stepping back to take up a balanced stance.

The man raised his forearm as a shield, blocking her blow, and put on an exaggerated expression of pain, teasing, "Where’d you get such strength? What did you grow up eating?"

Her strike missed; biting her lip, Sun Tiantian lashed out with her right leg like a whip, aiming for his head.

He caught her ankle with his right hand, a sly smile on his lips. Sniffing audibly, he sneered, "I’ve been waiting to get a hold of this pretty foot. Smells wonderful..." Drawing her scalpel from his pocket with his left hand, he traced it lightly along her ankle. "I was going to cut your tendon, but I just can’t do it—too soft-hearted..."

Blood spurted from her thigh. Sun Tiantian wrenched her leg free and dropped to a crouch, glaring icy daggers at him. "Now I’m really angry!"

Just then, one of the black uniforms silently picked up a stone from the ground and hurled it at the back of her head.

Startled, she tried to dodge, but it was too late. Twisting around, she raised her arms to block. There was a sickening crack, and her right arm sagged, limp and useless—obviously broken.

The man who had thrown the stone made no move to follow up, but quietly returned to his place.

"What a pity..." The man in sunglasses tutted, shaking his head. "Your reflexes are impressive—strength, speed, you’ve got it all. Guess I underestimated you..." He rolled his neck, tucked his left hand behind his back, and gripped Sun Tiantian’s scalpel in his right. "Now it’s my turn. To keep things fair, I’ll use only one hand—so you can’t say I bullied you..."

As he raised the scalpel toward her other, uninjured hand, a whistling sound cut through the air. A pebble struck his wrist, knocking the scalpel from his grasp. A cool, delicate voice called out from behind Sun Tiantian, "A group of men ganging up on a single girl—if that’s not bullying, what is?"

The man in sunglasses glanced down at the red mark blooming on his wrist, clenched his fist, and glared at the newcomer, sneering, "Another beauty? Seems fortune smiles on me today..."

Sun Tiantian turned her head and caught sight of a short-haired woman in a white tracksuit, holding a slingshot, strolling into the circle. Pouting, she grumbled, "Zhang Yunxi, why are you everywhere I go..." Suddenly, a thought struck her, and her mouth fell open. "Wait, were you following me?"

Zhang Yunxi gave her injuries a quick, expressionless glance, pocketed the slingshot, and used the hair tie on her wrist to pull her shoulder-length hair into a simple ponytail. She crouched, yanked off the heavy lead weights strapped to her ankles, and tossed them aside—dust billowed as they struck the ground. Breathing a long sigh, she cocked her head at the man in sunglasses and pointed at Sun Tiantian. "She’s mine to bully—no one else’s! You hurt her, and I’m not happy. Let’s fight!"

Sun Tiantian pouted. "Still acting like the boss of Nie Yi and Li Jun, and now pulling this on me too... But," she propped her chin on her hands, stars shining in her eyes, "so cool, so tough—she’s exactly my type..."

Zhang Yunxi ignored her, took a deep breath, summoned every athletic instinct in her body, her eyes gleaming, mind racing as she memorized every twitch and glance in the circle, predicting each person’s next move. Then, like lightning splitting the night, she charged straight at the man in sunglasses...
