Chapter 110: The Mighty Singh
"Corpse Eater Singer!"
Kasro immediately let out a startled cry. Wang Ling could clearly sense that the voice of this composed middle-aged man carried a distinct tremor of fear.
"I didn't expect just anyone to recognize me. It seems my reputation truly is quite grand."
Singer spoke casually, glancing at Kasro before shifting his cold gaze to Wang Ling. He raised his hand, which held a large-caliber, long-barreled Desert Eagle that had clearly been modified.
*Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!*
The wild, violent roars of the gun rang out in quick succession. Four bullets were fired at the broom-haired dwarf. This highly agile specialist dodged two shots, but the remaining two struck him—one tearing through the flesh at his waist, the other shattering his leg.
Under the massive kinetic energy, his leg was severed as if struck by an axe. Lacking his right leg, the dwarf collapsed immediately. Blood gushed from his waist and his mangled knee; with his low stamina, he was clearly beyond saving.
"Is this modified Desert Eagle impressive? Don't worry, though; it only holds six rounds, and now it's empty."
Singer shrugged, stowed the pistol into his emblem, and pulled out a small knife. The blade was made of black stone with a matte, frosted luster; its thin, fine edge featured microscopic serrations, clearly marking it as a lethal weapon.
"So you're Wang Ling! I'm truly lucky to encounter a kid like you in this scenario world. If you die, I'm sure both the Orc Team and the Thug Team will be pleased. Even the super-expert Bai Feng will surely view me in a new light. Hahaha... You have a total of seven summons. Where are the remaining four? Why not summon them now? If you don't show them now, you won't have the chance later."
As he spoke, Singer suddenly lunged toward the hippie fat man who was crawling off the ground. He casually evaded a punch aimed at his face and plunged the small knife into the fat man’s lower abdomen. With a flick of his wrist, he sliced upward, laying open the skin and thick layers of fat—a truly brutal sight!
It was a fatal blow. The fat man was slashed from chest to belly. However, being a stamina-specialized summon, he did not die instantly, nor did he lose his combat effectiveness. Ignoring his spilling intestines, he swung his hand-axe fiercely at Singer’s head.
Moving with light steps, Singer was like a whirlwind; the axe-swing struck only his afterimage. As he moved, he paused briefly around the fat man, then sheathed his blade and stood still.
The fat man’s movements turned rigid. Blood sprayed from his body, and thin red lines appeared across his skin.
*Thump...*
Like a dismantled toy, the massive fat man fell to pieces in a pool of blood, his body scattering onto the ground in large chunks.
A twenty-centimeter knife could never carve a person like that. Through the consciousness feedback from the dying summon, Wang Ling realized that when Singer struck, a blade of condensed energy extended from the knife, effectively turning the small blade into a long sword!
Witnessing the grotesque death of the fat man, Wang Ling felt goosebumps rise, a chill climbing from his heels to his scalp. Meanwhile, Kasro dashed toward the house stronghold at full speed. He fought with everything he had, his axe swinging wildly, cutting every zombie in his path in two.
Singer ignored Kasro, as three fully armed Japanese samurai emerged from the darkness. Yamato, the captain of "Chrysanthemum and Sword," charged directly at Kasro. With a horizontal slash of his katana, he roared, "Violent Slash!"
Steel met axe with a deafening metallic clang, sparks flying in the night. Another samurai, Matsuda, lunged from the side with a spear, shouting "Pierce!" A triangular layer of light appeared at the spearhead, aiming for Dave, who was on Kasro’s back.
Since Dave was the key to the hidden shop, Kasro couldn't let him die. He parried the spearhead with his axe. At that moment, Ogawa drew his bow and fired an arrow with tremendous force; the iron three-edged arrowhead whistled through the air!
Unable to dodge while restricted, Kasro was hit in the waist. Yamato seized the opportunity to swing his blade at Kasro’s neck. Forced into a corner, Kasro pulled a steel fork with his other hand to block the blade while swinging his axe at Matsuda. Matsuda didn't block; instead, he dodged and struck Dave’s head with the spear shaft. With a ringing sound against the frying-pan hat, the eccentric fellow knocked out instantly.
Ogawa put away his bow, snatched Dave, and took off running!
It turned out the primary goal of the Chrysanthemum and Sword team was to abduct Dave, one of the main missions issued by the Dream Emblem. In the original game, this was done by bungee zombies, but in this scenario, the task fell to the Dreamers.
In the distance, the sound of AK gunfire erupted; someone was clearly attacking the stronghold to prevent reinforcements. It was obvious: if they kidnapped Dave and killed both Kasro and Wang Ling, the zombie-aligned Dreamers would secure total victory.
Facing death, Kasro could no longer save Dave. Gripping his axe and fork, he roared, his body glowing with skill energy as he fought Yamato and Matsuda one-on-two.
In Wang Ling’s hand, a Kung Fu Scenario Card appeared. Wang Long, Chen Heng, Tao Xian, and Lan Yue, four kung fu masters, materialized. After ordering Lan Yue to pursue the Dreamers who had stolen Dave, Wang Ling led the others toward Singer.
By then, Singer had reached the side of the brawny thug whose chest had been blown open by bullets. Wanting to savor the pleasure of torture, he didn't target Wang Ling, intending instead to kill each summon one by one, leaving his opponent to die in despair.
His tongue suddenly elongated like a serpent, the tip piercing precisely into the hole in the brawny man’s chest.
*Hiss, hiss, hiss...*
As the three-meter-long tongue twisted eerily, the brawny man's body swelled like an overinflated balloon, quickly becoming a monstrous ball of flesh even larger than the hippie.
It was a terrifying skill from the FC game "Air Combat," a synonym for brutality. Once used, the tongue elongates and pumps air into the enemy until they cannot withstand the internal pressure and explode with a bang!
As air flowed in, the brawny man’s body stretched to the limit, his skin turning translucent. Finally, unable to bear the pressure, the giant ball of flesh exploded. Blood and viscera were blasted outward, coating a five-square-meter area in a rain of gore. Only a white skeletal frame remained, which then crumbled into countless bone fragments.
Having carved the hippie into chunks and turned the brawny man into a pile of bones, Singer, now drenched in blood and gore like a demon, seemed satisfied with his handiwork and the fear he had instilled.
He moved quickly again, bypassing Wang Ling and charging toward Lan Yue, who was pursuing Ogawa.
Seeing this, Wang Ling hurriedly ordered Lan Yue to be cautious and retreat. Within three seconds, Singer caught up to her, his black knife silently stabbing at the back of her head, the white energy blade protruding from the tip.
As a kung fu master, even without powerful skills, her attributes were slightly higher than a Dark Fighter, and her combat instincts and neural response to attacks were top-tier.
Like a seasoned veteran on the battlefield who senses a gun barrel pointed at his head, Lan Yue felt a slight tingling at the back of her neck the moment the knife struck. She tilted her head and leaned against a nearby wall. Pushing off with her toes in a display of "Cloud-Ladder" level lightness, she flipped into the air, kicking at Singer’s head.
A few strands of hair drifted down—cut by the invisible energy blade. If she had been a second slower, her skull would have been pierced.
"Oh?"
Seeing the girl dodge the sneak attack, Singer looked surprised. He raised his left arm to block the kick, his knife slashing at her ankle, but the girl used the force of the impact to flip even higher into the air.
With this two-turn delay, Wang Ling and the masters surrounded Singer. Wang Long thrust his staff like a spear toward Singer’s lower body, while Chen Heng swung his meteor hammer toward Singer’s head. Knowing the opponent’s strength, they struck with lethal intent to save Lan Yue.
Tao Xian stood by, face solemn, gathering Yoga Fire in his mouth, waiting for the right moment to strike.
Wang Ling held a steel shield in his left hand and a white iron musket in his right, firing at Singer’s heart at close range.
Surrounded by so many, Singer laughed maniacally, dodging with fluid movements. After evading several attacks, he darted to Wang Long’s side. Sensing danger, Wang Long twisted his waist; he dodged the blade, but the elongated energy edge still sliced a deep wound into his side.
In the distance, Kasro let out a roar of rage. He had been wounded again, his chest sliced by a katana. In his fury, he tucked his weapons away, curled his body into a ball, and activated "High-Speed Rolling Impact," spinning with violent air currents and slamming forward!
