Chapter 11: The Myriad Heavens Trading District

A stone came hurtling through the air and slammed into the head of a prisoner zombie. Its head rocked from the impact, but it showed no apparent reaction.
These prisoner zombies really were just as Robert had described: sluggish old dried-out corpses that feared fire.
Xiao Yang was currently using this method to lure them. If a whole group of prisoner zombies gathered together, he would never dare charge them head-on, even if all his attributes were doubled again. But drawing them out one at a time was an entirely different matter.
Another stone flew out. This time, Xiao Yang put a little more force into it. With a loud crack, it caved in part of the zombie’s skull. At last, the prisoner zombie he had attacked reacted.
It turned around and spotted Xiao Yang skulking around the corner of the distant corridor. With an enraged roar, it staggered toward him.
The troublesome part was that it did not come alone. Its furious howl immediately drew the attention of the other prisoner zombies nearby.
In an instant, all of them discovered Xiao Yang. Amid a chorus of continuous snarls, seven or eight prisoner zombies charged at him together.
Xiao Yang was no fool. Naturally, he ran.
With his Agility far exceeding theirs, he vanished in the blink of an eye, disappearing into the dim corridor behind him.
The prisoner zombies did not pursue him indefinitely. Once Xiao Yang had shaken them off and vanished from sight, they roared and began returning to the area where they had originally been standing. It seemed that something in this corridor was constantly drawing the zombie prisoners together.
As they made their way back, Xiao Yang doubled around once more. Another stone flew out, striking the same prisoner zombie again.
Although these prisoner zombies would be drawn into the chase by their companions, they ultimately possessed too little intelligence. Besides, their individual movement speeds differed.
After repeating this process several times, one of them soon found itself isolated. The unlucky creature was the same prisoner zombie Xiao Yang had pelted until its head was covered in lumps. After being led back and forth repeatedly, it finally had no companions following it.
It charged around the corner, roaring as it prepared to teach the insolent creature who had repeatedly provoked it a lesson it would never forget.
Of course, that was merely the inner monologue Xiao Yang had assigned to it. He had supplied the prisoner zombie with its lines. After spending too long in a dim and perilous dungeon, one had to learn to find amusement in suffering—or one might eventually become a complete lunatic.
With a vicious grin, Xiao Yang raised the Wilderness Handaxe in his hand high overhead. Empowered by Heavy Strike and the Zombie Slayer effect, he brought it crashing down. The blow hacked away one-eighth of the prisoner zombie’s health—perhaps one-ninth, or even less.
All right, all right. It was not a fatal wound.
But that hardly mattered. Xiao Yang swung the Wilderness Handaxe with sufficient speed.

Amid his rapid slashes, he nimbly dodged the prisoner zombie’s attacks. After killing so many of these things, he had practically trained his reactions into instinct. One axe blow followed another, sending flesh and blood flying. In an extremely short span of time, Xiao Yang struck six or seven times in succession.
With his final blow, the prisoner zombie could no longer hold itself upright. It collapsed heavily to the ground and lay motionless.
The experience calculation began. Xiao Yang stylishly flicked the blood and scraps of flesh from his Wilderness Handaxe. If his estimate was correct, he should be about to level up.
As expected, the instant the prisoner zombie fell, notifications from the Divine Game began appearing.
[Congratulations, player! You have reached Level Five. Congratulations, player! You are the first player in Plane 33214 to reach Level Five. You have received one Novice Level Package.]
[Congratulations, player! You have reached Level Five. The Plane Trading Zone is now officially unlocked!]
As the notifications poured in, Xiao Yang wore a complicated expression.
It had not been easy. He had thought he would really have to struggle alone through this Skeleton Dungeon. Who would have guessed that the Divine Game offered level-up packages—and even a trading zone?
This was truly unexpected.
Xiao Yang immediately chose to open the Level Five Novice Package.
In an instant, a set of red potions and a large roll of white bandages appeared before him.
The red potions were another set of Minor Healing Potions.
As for the large roll of white bandages—
[Wound Bandages
Quality: White
Effect: Slowly restore health over thirty minutes and remove the Bleeding status.
Description: A roll of ordinary wound bandages. Perfectly adequate for dealing with minor injuries.]
They were nothing special, but they would still come in handy. Now, in the dim and eerie underground corridor, Xiao Yang was even more eager for the Plane Trading Zone to open.
No matter what, he had to buy some food and water. That was extremely important!

Just as Xiao Yang sat there expectantly waiting, the Divine Game seemed to freeze.
[Plane Trading Zone unlocking. Plane Trading Zone unlocking. Plane Trading Zone unlocking…]
The message began repeating mechanically, and Xiao Yang immediately grew anxious.
Wait! Nothing had better go wrong! If something happened, what was he supposed to do? He did not want to become the ultimate unlucky bastard who starved to death in a dungeon!
Then the situation changed.
Things were not quite as bad as they seemed. There was hope.
As Xiao Yang stared wide-eyed, the notifications from the Divine Game began progressing normally.
[Plane Trading Zone unlock failed. Permissions unlocked. The Myriad Realms Trading Zone is opening. Preparing for teleportation. Time will not be paused during this teleportation. The departure point will be identical to the return point. Please find a safe location as soon as possible before teleportation. This teleportation is free of charge. The Myriad Realms Trading Zone will remain open for one day. Teleportation countdown initiated! Five! Four!…]
As the messages appeared one after another, Xiao Yang hurried into action. Caught off guard, he only had time to pull open the door of a nearby cell that had already been cleared of zombies.
The moment Xiao Yang entered the room, the teleportation countdown ended. His entire body vanished from this dark dungeon.
Not far away, the low roars of the prisoner zombies still echoed through the underground cells. Behind a heavy wooden door in the place they had surrounded, a pale-faced figure sat leaning against the wall, trembling uncontrollably.
A soft murmur escaped its lips.
“Mom!”
When Xiao Yang opened his eyes once more, he found himself in a bright, spacious place where many living people were walking back and forth.
That was certainly worth celebrating. But what delighted Xiao Yang most was not merely that he had successfully reached the trading zone. It was the three things that had suddenly appeared before his eyes.
At last, he understood where the “Colorful” part of his Colorful Talent, Dungeon Advancer, came from.
So that was it!
It did not merely mean advancing through dungeons as dungeons!
