Siyun entered the bedroom with a flushed face. As she closed the door, she heard the lively chatter and laughter from the other side—it really was a noisy group of children, and their voices were so... adorable.

Siyun couldn’t help but let out a soft chuckle, especially when she heard the word “fairy.” Instantly, she glanced at herself in the mirror.

She knew she was indeed beautiful, but over the years, she had always been by Liang Bo’an’s side. She hadn’t paid much attention to her own appearance, and had scarcely heard any outside compliments, especially from the opposite sex. After all, in Su City, very few could compare to Liang Bo’an.

Thinking of Liang Bo’an, the smile on Siyun’s lips faded considerably. Outside, the evening breeze stirred, and thunder rumbled—was it going to rain?

Siyun stood by the window, recalling a rainy night years ago, when Liang Bo’an held an umbrella for her. That was the beginning of her first love. Back then, Liang Bo’an’s eyes held only her; he confessed with joy and promised a lifetime together, vowing never to betray her. Yet, youthful admiration eventually faded. Did Liang Bo’an still remember every word he confessed on those rainy nights?

Shaking off her thoughts with a hint of disdain for her current self, Siyun realized she was still reminiscing about a man who had betrayed her. She was now a married woman.

Wait—why hadn’t that guy come into the room yet?

At the thought of Ji Hanxiao, her melancholy and sadness abruptly shattered. Whether it was desire or something else, after being with this well-built younger brother, Siyun had to admit that even during the day, her mind would flash with images of his flirtatious antics. Most importantly... he was really capable.

Siyun cracked the door open and saw him sitting upright on the sofa. The next moment, he turned around.

Their eyes met in mid-air. Siyun’s face flushed with guilt. Thinking quickly, she stepped out of the room and went to the kitchen for a glass of water. Then, she swaggered back into her room.

Ji Hanxiao watched her silly movements until the door closed.

“Boss, sister-in-law’s figure is really amazing.” A youthful voice came through the video call.

“Close your eyes,” Ji Hanxiao said, shutting his laptop and standing up.

“Take a five-minute break. The meeting will resume shortly.”

He then walked toward the door.

Pushing it open, he found a flustered woman heading to the bed. She grabbed the blanket and turned her back to lie down.

Ji Hanxiao smiled and crouched by Siyun’s bedside, remaining silent.

Her heart raced, puzzled by her brother’s behavior. After a moment of silence, she turned around to find him leaning against her bed, resting his head on his arm, looking at her with great interest.

“Sis, have I ever told you, you’re so beautiful.”

Siyun choked on her saliva and pressed a hand against his face, rubbing it.

“Get away. What are you doing up so late? You’re seriously disrupting my sleep schedule,” she scolded.

Ji Hanxiao laughed.

“But you slept so deeply last night. Is it that you can’t sleep now and want to do something else...”

“Ji Hanxiao, if you tease me again, do you believe I’ll...” Siyun didn’t finish her sentence before a gentle kiss landed on her forehead.

Ji Hanxiao slowly withdrew, his eyes filled with tenderness and compassion as he looked at her.

“I know you must be tired today, so I won’t bother you. Get some rest early. You need to recharge to face those guys during the day. You’ve got to keep fighting,” Ji Hanxiao encouraged her.

In that instant, Siyun was stunned, especially as his gentle hand stroked her head.

It was as if she was the little kid.

Ji Hanxiao stood up, and Siyun instinctively grabbed his hand.

“And you?”

A glimmer flashed in Ji Hanxiao’s eyes as he looked at her.

“If I were by your side, you wouldn’t be able to sleep now. I’d be unable to resist.”

Siyun blushed even deeper. Thankfully, the bedroom light was dim.

“Really... so childish...”

“What?”

“Nothing. You go sleep in the guest room.”

Ji Hanxiao immediately shook his head.

“No way. I promised not to tire you tonight, but I never said we’d sleep separately. You rest first. Once you fall asleep, I should have finished the studio’s work and won’t disturb you.”

“You still have a meeting?” Siyun was surprised. It was almost one in the morning. Were college students really this intense now?

“What? Want me to keep you company...”

“Out.”

Siyun said firmly.

Ji Hanxiao felt a little disappointed but turned around. At that moment, his smile broadened.

The door closed, and both were in good spirits.

Ji Hanxiao sat down with a bottle of mineral water, opened his laptop, and immediately saw a group of lively young dogs barking excitedly. Then, they noticed Ji Hanxiao.

“Whoa, boss, are you a speed shooter? That quick?” Curly-haired Guazi asked.

Xiao Bu covered his mouth, while a tall, broad-shouldered boy blushed but acted like nothing happened. Only Xiaoxiao, wearing black-framed glasses and sporting two braids, leaned close to the camera.

“Boss, you really got married? Sister-in-law is from the Siyun family, right? Did I see that right?” Xiaoxiao asked.

The others then looked back at Ji Hanxiao, who nodded.

“Whoa, Su City’s number one beauty? Boss, how did you manage that!” Xiao Bu exclaimed.

“Yeah, she’s also the heir of the Siyun family and the inheritor of Su embroidery. She’s been interviewed, and her temperament and looks rival any top celebrity. Boss, you really have skills. Aren’t we all losers?” Guazi asked.

Ji Hanxiao was glad to see them so energetic.

“Summarize all the progress each of you has made!”

“Ah!”

“What?!”

“Boss, no! I’m going to bed early tonight. I can’t stay up late anymore. I already look ten years older.”

Everyone complained bitterly.

Xiaoxiao also wore a miserable expression.

“When Sister Hong and Brother Bin return, they’ll definitely scold you, boss.”

“Yeah, I’ll draw a circle and curse you barren.”

“Isn’t that a bit harsh?”

“...”

“Ten seconds,” Ji Hanxiao continued.

Ten seconds later, the previously noisy group obediently began reporting their progress. The meeting lasted until dawn, the sky turning gray and dim.

They thought everyone would be yawning and exhausted, but when it ended, no one looked tired—instead, they were full of anticipation.

“Boss, this time when Brother Bin and Sister Hong return from the States, we will definitely succeed.”

“I think so too!”

“Then let that guy surnamed Yue strip naked and run around crying to apologize to us. Damn it.”

“Don’t bring up old wounds.”

Everyone instinctively looked at Ji Hanxiao, only to find him yawning.

“Aren’t you guys tired?” Ji Hanxiao asked.

With several younger ones giving him speechless looks, Ji Hanxiao closed the laptop again.

Just as he was about to get up, thinking of that woman’s sleeping quality, he didn’t return to the bedroom. Only his lower half suffered—why was it that this thing always woke up early in the morning?
